The Royal Enfield is a fascinating motorcycle with a very interesting history.

They are quite inexpensive. Mine was a leftover 2014 I bought in 2015 for less than $5,000. Granted that's not CB inexpensive but this is an extraordinary machine with heritage.

The Indians do a good job making them, and they hold up well and are very durable. They are used by tour companies to cross the Himalaya mountians, on and off pavement etc.

Like CB's they have some little problems. Leaks at the kickstart seal are common. Broken speedometers. Battery cable terminal ends fracture. Chains need replacement and are a bit of a PIA to adjust. Wonky fuel injection. Stuff like that.
