Here's a comparison pic with my previous LED. The new GENSSI has a blue heatsink.
As you can see, the GENSSI is about the same height as the old one, and it fits perfectly in our housing with the back cut out, which I would recommend anyway. This is a fanless heatsink and needs airflow to dissipate heat. Water may enter the housing, but the waterproof boot behind the lamp keeps moisture out of the reflector so it's fine in the rain.
The heatsink is reversible to save 5mm, but it fit nicely without bothering with that.
You can clearly see the shield that provides a cutoff for the low beam. The high beam is unshielded and provides a nice full beam.
