Regular 15W40 works fine for GY6 break-in, but change at around 50, 200, 500 miles to keep the suspended glitter flushed out. One option is to change to Delo at around 1,000 miles, which has a little more slick stuff (Zinc & Boron). |
It probably does have the spec plate. Last year for Christmas I bought the family 2 Tao Tao quad runners and Will 250 (I've since traded "Will" in for a CRF250L). "Will" used the Rotella since in didn't have the friction inhibitors and I somehow came to believe then That Rotella was best for the Quads. Since the scooter had the same engine as the Tao Tao 150d Utility I thought that Rotella would be the engine as well. Weld set me straight about the friction inhibitors. I'll look for the plate when I get home from work tonite
