Well, I finally got to try out the HID headlight in real darkness while riding in the sticks tonight. I be impressed. In fact, I be very impressed.
I wasn't too sure about my aiming job but that turned out dead on. Low beam pattern illuminates the entire lane for a couple hundred yards without washing much into the oncoming lane. High beam, good grief, will illuminate a reflective sign nearly a mile away. Need to think about these for the cars.
BTW, riding in the dark proved that my gauge bulbs are burned out.
