You see the odd nut taking a CT70 on an expedition, but I'd feel better with larger wheels. If I was using the bike the way Barnone does, I'd gravitate towards a CT70 clone.
I wish there was a clone of the CT90; that would give you the light weight and easy servicing of a horizontal clone (presumably 125cc), plus larger wheels.
For your intended use, Jon, I'd go with a dual sport.
