Bleeding Brakes
Its great to see the CSC tutorials on the blog. Good job CSC (and Joe, I think).
Like a lot of DYI guys I find myself thinking about alternate ways to do things, but the instructions are solid and its great to have the photos. So I don't mean to open endless discussions about other ways of doing things.
That said, I wondered about the second sentence in the paragraph on "bleeding brakes" in the Brake Maintenance tutorial. If you change brake fluid every two years as CSC advises (and I absolutely concur), I don't think you need to bleed the brakes every year. The context here might be "if air gets into the system." But if the brakes become spongy or fluid level drops, I'd advise finding and correcting the leak before bleeding the brakes.
