I meant aluminum rims. Moving from a 16" to an 18" rear wheel only moves the tire one inch closer to the front of the swingarm. If you have a clear two inches in front of the tire right now, you'll likely be fine.

Rather than handlebar risers on my TW200, I installed aluminum ATV bars. Much better riding position for me, and less vibration.
