Also, if you have time, please do start a thread on the Delorme InReach. I am pleased with several features only available from this unit; it provides two-way communication, and tracking. Also, you aren't locked into a yearly service plan, as with the SPOT devices.
You can select a monthly service fee, and pay only when you need it.
