Woohoo. December 26th and it was nice enough for a ride to work. First ride with new front fender and big oil filter. Needed to adjust the fender where the tire was rubbing and noticed that it takes a few more minutes to get to operating temperature. Only bad part of the ride was getting to work and finding the right side CX500 badge missing from the side cover.

Good part was find the missing badge on the garage floor, next to where I park the bike. Phew!

There was some CX loot for Christmas, too.

Haven't had a chance to look at the book yet, reading Michners' 'Space' at the moment and Kerouacs' 'On the Road' is on deck. The little silver bell is supposedly a 'Motorcycle Good Luck Charm'. I'd never heard of it either, but I was looking at an article about changing out the waterpump on a GL1000 and there was the little bell hanging from the engine. The knee, elbow, and wrist pads are from my youngest, who says I'm just too old to fall down on the rink without some kind of padding. And here I thought overweight was padding.

Well, just an update. Hope everyone had a good holiday and the snow stays away a bit longer.
