Indeed, this mounting system is very solid. I have this system mounted on both my Zongshen ZS200GY-2, and my Honda XR650L. I have taken many, multi-day trips over rugged roads with this travel trunk, and it has not failed me. Whether camping, or heading into a motel, it's very nice to unlock the travel trunk, and remove it from the motorcycle.
The large travel trunk will hold many helmets, but it won't necessarily hold
every helmet. The large trunk does hold my GMax, G27S, dual sport helmet.
