The foam air filter is rectangular, as shown in the following links.

I seems you unscrew four bolts, and slide a rectangular, air filter assembly out of the air box. After cleaning the foam air filter, you install the foam into the rectangular holder, and slide the air filter assembly back into the air box. Then you screw in the four bolts.

Air enters the rectangular opening above the air filter holder. I assume we can trim some of the top from the rectangular opening. We could also install some wire mesh to cover the hole on top of the air box.
