That happened to me with my Beast two years ago, and it was one of the terminals on the ket switch. I plugged a different switch in to test and it still wouldn't start, so I tore everything apart. Little did I know that the switch I was using for testing was wired differently. Ugh.
I eventually pried the clip open on the switch and pulled the boot off, and that revealed the broken wire. I resoldered it and the quad fired right up.
