BONUS PICS!!!!!! :P :P :P

Linda and I flew to Packwood, Washington, high in the Cascade Mountains for a little Labor Day Festival today. :P

Another amazing day. NO WAY can pics do justice to the beauty we saw. God sure can create!

Safe on the ground at Packwood.

Mt. Rainier from Main Street.

A bizarre Corvair powered monstrosity I photographed for you all. 8)

Cool home made minibike. $75.

On the grass at the airfield.

Final approach.

Tricky 8O !! Steep approach needed to clear trees on short final. You need to drag it in on power behind the curve or close to it at slow speed to clear the trees and fence and still land on first 300 feet of the runway. You don't want to go long on this skinny little strip. There's a mountain to clear on the other end.

Post landing procedeure here is to check landing gear for pine needles, and check you shorts for stains. Thank God we brought it in real nice and touched down softly at the correct spot. Whew.

Entering the valley.

Mt. Rainier, up close and personal.
