It's around 1500 miles from Lima to Cali, the real adventure is dealing with the corrupt policia on the Panamericana Norte in Peru. Ecuador is great, regular gasoline is fixed at $1.48! I've ridden allover Colombia without problem, that said there is a heavy military presence on the major highways in the south, soldiers everywhere, all giving a thumbs up, telling me that the road ahead is secure. The Versys has served me well for 57,000+ miles.
