I agree, the motor has plenty of low-end torque even without the mods I'm going to make including a vm26 carb with proper jetting, removal of cat. converter, a pod filter and a FMF II pipe.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully the FMT TC2 will fit the Bashan without much modification. I don't mind the bike being louder, was amazed how quiet it was when I first started it.
