I cut the pipe after first weld. Scratched some...

I cut the pipe after first weld. Scratched some crows feet marks before I cut so I could line it back up. Used a tire tool to punch out baffles in muffler. It's a bit louder but worth the trouble....

Hawk Wheel questions

I've been seeing these dirt bikes on cl called "supermoto" . Looks like a dirt bike with small wheels and street tires.
If u put smaller wheels on a hawk would it increase top speed on street?...

I took a good quality pleated air filter and cut...

I took a good quality pleated air filter and cut it to fit my air box. Doubled it up with a little hardware cloth under it for strength. So far so good. Drilled a few good sized holes in top of box....

I found it!

After putting about 2k miles on the hawk , I can find neutral while riding. Before , the only way I could hit neutral was by using my hand while sitting still. It seems to be getting better.

I can do an hour or two pretty easy. Hands get a little numb after an hour. I recommend some new/modified grips. I ride to work often, 20-25 miles round trip 30-60 mph, no problem, mid to upper 90's....

Mine seems impossible to get in neutral when running and hard/impossible to upshift at standstill.
I'm still figuring out adjustment on clutch I guess. It seems to go through gears good going down...
