Remove the single bolt for your gas tank and dis-connect the fuel line then pull off your tank and inspect where this line is going to, my personal Xf does not have a separate vent line connected...

Have you had the battery completely checked out: load test, amperage, charge rate? your local auto parts store can do this free of charge and it is something that can effect the idle of your bike....
