Disconnect the sensor and hardwire the two together. Usually side stand or clutch have the sensors... and usually everyone disables them, although the clutch one has saved me a paint job before now. ...

Kinda strange it's the ground cable.. usually the live can get warm when starting.
Make sure there are no shorts, or the connections are tight. You can always "add" another ground.

Pretty much the same deal on the front.. Shocks were already installed so easier. Tires were deflated so they could fit them inside the foot well. I decided to leave them flat so it didn't roll away...

There were braces to hold the swing arm steady (just this side. I jacked it up, a bit, fitter the shocker and slid on one wheel.. Then the other. Grinning big at this point.
