Also, just tested the battery, and all is well. Had sitting voltage slightly above 13v...

I tried the test again last night with WD40...
I tried the test again last night with WD40 (before I read these replies), and still no luck. The idle was "surging" on its own before I even applied WD40, so it was hard to tell what was doing...

Hmmm not sure if they do raft races, I haven't seen any in the 5 years I've lived here. I know they do the dragon boat races in Edmonton, but that's probably something different.
