Ok, verified that i do in fact have spark. However, the plug does not smell strongly of fuel. The peculiar thing, though, is that the bike will not fire even with a shot of ether. Perhaps I’m wrong...

Scooter won’t start after being left in rain

Accidentally left my scooter out in the rain and now won’t start. I’ve drained carb and gas tank and replaced the spark plug but still no luck. It just cranks and cranks. Where should I go next?

I do vaguely remember that. That’s a pretty significant issue for the buyer and retailer since it’s obviously a manufacturer defect. Those counter balanced engines made all the difference.
