I think a cat delete improves performance when the bike is jetted right. Also runs cooler and like you said, weight reduction.

I would buy a $40 ebay moto muffler, mount it up and call it a day.

Yeah good call. A properly jetted carb will help reduce exhaust temps. Could be several things and each one would help as they are modified.

I found this one but the one I got from ebay I cannot find. It was only $29. I think either of these will work with minor modification. Both may have to be bent a little to fit and of course drilled....

I have the same brace. I mashed it together until it fit. Takes a little effort to keep it symmetrical but if I can do it anyone can.

It makes a nice difference in the front end feel of the bike.

When it idles it will get hotter than when you are moving. Especially at higher idles speeds. Also if you still have the catalytic converter it will get pretty hot.

Maybe put a fan on it?

Cain also look on craigslist or facebook marketplace. I found one for 1/4th the price new. I have put a few thousand miles on it and certainly got my $$$ out of it.

I just searched for tubes that fit my tire and wheel size. If I remember correctly I used kenda TR6 HD tubes. Forgive me it was either TR6 or TR4 I cannot remember. Someone will know for sure.

I was just on craigslist and FB marketplace. I saw a BUNCH of used China bikes for sale. Normally I see one or two and a bunch of new ones from dealer ads.

It is a buyers market!
