That's what I thought too, but the bike couldn't climb a small hill set like that. It pulled an indicated 55 mph on a flat road with the lever down. It runs well and performs nicely.

No gasket might cause a vacuum leak, resulting in lean burning and high rpms. This sounds like the choke is on. I've dealt with both while swapping carbs on our 2 Vaders.

It is all about the oxygen and fuel. Nitrous might work out better if you go light on it. Don't shoot for a 150 hp shot, settle for 1.5 hp. Methanol injection might work, although that works...
