I looked at mine and yes, on the area where it is clamped it is fatter.
So I guess I should go with the 1 1/8".

2LZ on CSC web site they sell the 7/8" , you bought the 1 1/8", now I am double guessing what should I buy. I am not savvy on measurements and dont have tool to measure my handle bar.

I took pictures before and after, you can see the after looks bulky, maybe not the best but God is so soft and comfortable now.
