Your oil cooler kit included a finned canister labeled on ebay as a auxilary filter canister. Did you happen to measure the insides to find out what would fit,without causing overpressure of course....

Late to the party. Glad it works right! But, those 3rd gears are definately worn enough to slip out of gear. Replace them next time the engine is out.
