Both, I think. It was dry but it is also very thin. The new one is not in there perfect as the return stop is different & leaves too much cable exposed so I still have a little work to do.

I have the Roketa. I picked up the Clymer manual M318-4 for the XL/XR/TLR 125 - 200, 1979 - 2003. It helps.

Check your fuel lines & such. The rubber stinks.

I had to take my carb apart for the same reason. There was crud in there and an ant blocking the low speed jet. Cleaned it & ran a thin wire through the jets & all is fine now.
