Very curious to see what happened here. I bought a $25 Bluetooth borescope off amazon and it has a very detailed picture, as well as many other pros. Awesome tool to have around.

I have successfully used plastidip on a Harley before and it looked awesome, but it was obviously never dumped or ridden through tree branches....

If your having a hard time seeing the flywheel timing marks, take the spark plug out and use a pencil or something similar to verify piston is all the way to the top of its stroke.

New one should be good to go out of the box, should have nice cross hatching. But yes for sure clean it, and assemble with engine oil on the rings.

Edit: not sure if a Mikuni idle screw will fit our knock off carbs, but I’ll order one to see.
