|Hi from new Lifan Gy200-5 owner in the UK
Hi,
this is my first post. I've just bought a very nearly new GY200 to use for 'green laning' - light off-roading mostly on old military roads or old droving / coaching roads in and around Wiltshire and Hampshire in England. I've been on bikes for 30 years and have a jap (GPZ) bike for general commuting and but fancied one of these as a cheap option that with a little work should be a good light little bike. I enjoy spanner work so should be OK in that respect. Only ridden the bike home from buying it so far but quite impressed apart from a sore backside after 130KMs! 8O Finish is not looking particularly robust but mechanically everything seems pretty reasonable to me. This site is going to be great for info and sharing thoughts. I will be posting for some help straight away - pretty sure my bike could do with a better plug / HT lead - I think I detected some missing under load (I'm not sure what the appropriate NKG plug is..... mine's a Pushrod engine). Otherwise the engine is very sweet. :D Cheers Frog |
Welcome. My family on my father's side live in Faversham and Whitstable in the Southeast.
There are a few UK owners here, most active is member 'CZOwner' Yes, your back side will be sore, and there are a few members who have done something about it. There is a plug "sticky" here somewhere for replacement plugs. Lots of good information and members who are very helpful. |
Hello and welcome.Best wishes on your new ride.
