Z50 cam suit Lifan?
 

Hi there, I’m currently doing up a Lifan 70cc atv for the kids, first I’m not interested in upgrading to a larger motor YET, I want to see what we can get out of a 70cc first, already has a pkw carb, race exhaust, cdi, 1mm head gasket, has had ports matched.. now I’m really looking for cam info. I basically want the highest rpm cam that will fit a stock 70cc head on a low budget, will a Honda z50 cam fit? I’m also very interested in any other performance mods, I think timing/ignition system might be next:tup:

The Z50 cam is a different design than a Lifan cam and won't work in the Lifan head.

Ah thanks heaps for that mate, I appreciate your response, saved me wasting $50, you wouldn’t by any chance know what cam would suit, or any pointers on how I’d find out,

THIS one may work for you, as long as your stock cam has the same dimensions, and that you use the wide-coil valve springs with it. Make sure you read through the whole page before you order.
