Extremely quiet 38mm slip on muffler

Where can one purchase an extremely quiet muffler that directly slips onto an exhaust pipe that's 38mm on the end from an aftermarket hawk 250 exhaust? Not a baffle or anything, just an exhaust muffler that is somewhat cheap and extremely quiet.

Stock?

The stock one does not slip into the exhaust from an aftermarket exhaust it is welded onto the stock pipe. Also it rusted out a while ago. Also it's intended for a front exhaust piece that has a catalytic converter.

Anyone? Seriously no one has ever wanted a muffler you can swap on to shut one of these things up a bit?

I suspect must either keep the EBay exhaust as is or if they fid it too loud, switch back to stock. If you want to keep the Stonemen exhaust and just change out the muffler end with another slip-on it may require some trial and error, find something compatible on Amazon that has free returns in case it doesn't help.
If you do go that route and arrive upon a viable option, it would be a good thing to post it as others im sure would be interested
Sorry that this is probably not the answer you're looking for

The aftermarket exhaust is for a Honda CRF230. Search for CRF230 mufflers. Probably won't be a direct fit. Either install a baffle or go back to stock if you don't want to work on modifications.

You can always try one of the Pro Circuit T4 quiet inserts in the ebay muffler. The Ebay exhaust muffler is basically a knock off of said T4 (4" model) and shares the same end cap/insert bolt pattern. They do a decent job of quieting down the exhaust without sacrificing power. They come in diameters ranging from 1 1/8 to 1 3/4. The smaller the diameter, the more baffle effect you will get, and the quieter it will become.

I put in one of their 1 1/2" spark arrestors in mine and it did a decent job. It does cut down on the noise some.

Example. https://www.procircuit.com/2007-stai...sert-1-38.html

Otherwise, your only other option would be to adapt a larger body muffler, or one of similar size with a "db killer" insert (or both). The issue here is most aftermarket universal motorcycle mufflers are for a 51mm pipe, and the ebay exhaust is, as you know, 38mm. So they usually require an adapter be welded to the pipe, which isn't really a big deal, but it's one more thing to do. This is a route I have considered doing myself for a few reasons, noise being one.

Another option would be to find the stock exhaust system and reinstall it minus the CAT and work from that point to improve performance while retaining the ability to achieve the stock sound. Somebody around here might have a stock exhaust system they would sell.

Fyi: I posted this new DIY thread as a previously discussed option

Seriously didn't think it would be hard to find a simple quiet exhaust that fits.

Oh, they exist to a degree, but you have to spend a bit more than 100 bucks on the exhaust system, and it may still require one of the before mentioned inserts. Aka, Pro Circuit T4 exhaust, or you can go for an FMF exhaust.

Fact is, most straight through mufflers are louder as you open the throttle more. Those silencer inserts do work, way more than you would think they do.

I know you are all "not a baffle" but simple truth is, really quiet mufflers are quiet because they have baffles. Adding one to the current muffler is a viable solution.
