2016 RX3 Price

is $2200 a good price for a 6k mile RX3? Have no idea how these things do or don't hold value in the used market.

Yes, that is a good to great price...depends on how the PO upgraded it. Options are seat, shock, center stand and aluminum luggage. A 2020 will set you back about double that price before you add any upgrades.

in this case CSC bags and center stand. thanks for the info!

calvarez 03-03-2020 01:15 PM

It's a decent price, and they don't hold used value well at all. I paid quite a bit less, and have seen people pay a little more. The metal bags and centerstand are pricey upgrades though they don't hold huge value in resale. So my answer would be, "Yes, buy it."

Hope I can find one like that in a couple of years

I think that is a good price. CSC has two 2016 at $2895 right now, one with 3200 miles and one around 8000.

I hope I can find one at that kind of price in my area in a few years when I am ready.

Yes, definitely a good price. Pretty much in line with what I see for Japanese and European bikes in my neck of the woods, as it relates to depreciation on a "used" bike. Anything 3-4 years old, with low miles, and buyers expect 30-50% off the MSRP price. If I were looking, I would bite on it. You are getting it at 45% less than MSRP, and the RX3 is a known quantity at this time in regards to reliability and parts support from CSC.

FYI - Mines at 17,000 miles and going strong.

down to 1800. I think I'm gonna pull the trigger.

That's a ridiculous good price...I would ask more than that for my 2016 for sure, but mine only has 700 miles ;)

CSC’s prices are TOO HIGH!

CSC’s used bikes selling prices are TOO HIGH! Especially the bike with over 8000 miles on it’s odometer.
I bought and later sold my RX3 and could only get a buyer at a LOWER selling price than CSC is posting.
So, just wait a little longer, and offer a lower price, and you’ll be successful!
PCG :yay:

That's more like it. These bikes become almost worthless the moment they leave CSC.

That's pretty much every motorcycle nowadays. It only seems like mainstream manufacturer's bikes hold their value, due to the fact that you pay so much more for them to begin with. A $4000 bike going for $2000 after the customary fifty percent depreciation is still a better deal in my book than the $12000 one going for $6150. That $6150 is what I paid for my 2015 Kawasaki Versys 650 ABS two years ago. The original owner bought it new, plus imported a bunch of GIVI accessories (side cases, rear hugger, handguards), as well as installing a MotoWorks lowering kit. He also installed a Corbin lowered seat. That is a $5850 hit in the pocket book when you sell it, versus $2000 for an RX3. Hell, you could give the RX3 away and still only be out the $4000. Perspective is everything.

It's why I have an RX3 and not a BMW GS, and a 19 year old CBR1100XX not a new CBR1000.
