Apple Ride
Mrs. C and I did our third Apple and Brown Dog Whiskey run in two years on the Ural. About 130 round trip this time. And, of course, after several weeks of Miami weather in the Chicago area, it was cool today. Make it cold by the time we got home.
With the wonky speedo and odo, it was kind of necessary to do some guestimations on our fuel consumption. As it stands now, with the flip flopping of the readings, best to start looking for gas at 75 miles instead of 95. Anyway, shopping consisted of one peck of apples, one bottle of Brown Dog Single Malt, and two bags of fresh cheese curds, one of which we consumed on the way home. It was pretty funny when Mrs. C tried to pop the first one in her mouth with her face shield down.:D The wind today was something, though. Thought we'd get a tailwind on the return trip but the wind just thumbed its' nose at us and teased us on the way back. |
The cheese curd comment had me giggling out loud. :D

Yeah, Mrs. C is spooky smart with doing calculus and trig functions in her head, designing her own sewing patterns, finances, and what not. So it’s pretty enjoyable, to me, when she does stuff like that.
