Bashan storm gas cap siphoning???
 

Any one have a cure ??,,the locking gas cap sticks over an inch down into the tank ,,,and if you fill up enough that gas touches it ,it siphons gas out till the levels down.Any cure other than only filling tank 3/4?

I haven't noticed it and I just top off the tank this weekend, I'll look for that but I don't take it to the top of the cap usually.

I just dont fill mine up all the way. It breaths through the cap.

I have the same issue it sucks I can not fill the tank any where near full. Maybe need a different cap?

Doesn't Bashan Brozz, Shark and Storm have the same gas cap as the Hawk? Never had a problem and I fill mine to the top. Looks the same from the outside. Is the part that goes in the tank Longer than on the Hawk?

That looks just like mine, I haven't had any problems with it.

May have to drill a small hole closer to the top to break the siphoning effect.

My sharks gas cap does the same tuning, I'll try drilling a hole close to the top to see if it helps. Its frustrating because I lose about a half gallon of capacity

Drill a small hole in what? The tank? Where is this small hole located on your bike

I decided to take the dremel to the cap with a cut off wheel I took off around an 1 inch of it. It now ends right at the level of the locking teeth.

If it still gives me grief I will also drill a hole in it

Yes,, please let me know the results ,!I love my storm,but this filling up 3/4 sucks ,,an forgetting an filling it up the whole way,an wearing gas sucks worse.

I will keep ya posted rainy all this week not getting to ride it to work.
Next time I fill it up we will see what happens.
