Rebound Damping?

Ok, so this may be a dumb question? The valves/screws/etc on the rear shock and forks... How should they be adjusted? My RX3 feels like it bounces more then it should after a bump in the road. I'm 200lbs, and it rarely bottoms out (I don't push it hard on or off road). What's the proper way to adjust the shock and fork? I haven't found an instruction yet.

If the suspension bounces more than you wish, you can put the damping on a slower setting.

Rebound damping affects the speed at which the shock extends while recovering from compression. The shock absorber has 15 settings for rebound damping. Turning the screw clockwise slows the rebound damping. Turning the screw counter-clockwise accelerates the rebound damping.

If your forks have damping adjustment, you can experiment with the settings in the same manner as you adjust the shock absorber. ;)

Thanks Spud... If the forks have an adjustment (each), how would I know they are balanced. (I can't remember if I saw one on top of each strut). I'm guessing I'd have to bottom them out like air mixture screws first, and start from there... make equal adjustments to each side?

My 2015 RX3 bike does not have damping adjustment on the forks. However, I believe CSC introduced forks with damping adjustment on the 2016, and later models of the RX3.

To adjust the fork damping, merely turn both adjustment screws to either the fastest, or the slowest setting. Then turn each screw the same number of turns in the opposite direction, until you reach the desired level of damping. ;)
