Dirt, Snow, Water and Geese

Great photos, Joe.
Good shot of the RX3 But the one of riding in the snow scares this Floridian.....brrrrrr. http://i1042.photobucket.com/albums/...pjz1zl.jpg?819 jb |
It was COLD and that wasn't firm snow as it had some greasy mud under it. I turned around as I was solo riding and didn't want to have to press the SOS button on my SPOT! The pic of the RX3 above is at a corn field. It's been raining so much here that the field is completely under water. Ordered heated jacket and glove liners though! Found a Venture Heat jacket liner is my size on Amazon for $90 and the Venture Heat glove liner on a Revzilla closeout and with my $10 in revzilla bucks those cost me $54. Will be super nice to have!

Actually, I was going to say that the one where Joe rode on the snow is impressive as all get out! (oh, and yes, it looked briiiiiisk!) :p

I can see where the stock RX3 tires would NOT be the right ticket for this kind of riding. I've become "fair weather" in the last few years. Good to see you're out enjoying the elements! My Winter riding days gives me good memories...but the warmth of the pellet stove usually wins out these days. ;-) |
This was October last year up near Rampart Range in Colorado. This is Marzhere's bike with Kenda 270's.
http://www.chinariders.net/showpost....39&postcount=9 Rode to work this morning on the TT250. 18* when I left the house at 7 am. Rojo |
2LZ, if we don't ride in the rain or bad weather....then we don't ride! It's called the Pacific Northwet for a reason!
Rojo, that's a great shot! I just ordered a heated jacket liner and glove liners so I can ride as it gets even colder. I was really cold on the bike at 42 on the highway but once I got to the dirt I was fine...once my fingers worked again! |
