Hmmmm KE 100

So I have stumbled across a 1980 Kawasaki KE 100 enduro it is 600 OBO and is in excellent condition just needs a spark plug, voltage regulator, and possibly a new battery since it has been setting in the garage for so long. Just wanting some opinions should I pull the trigger??

I say no. It will need carb cleaned and/or rebuilt. Tank cleaned. Many other issues. It is a 35 year old bike. If you had storage and were looking for a project knowing what you were getting into then go for it. Based on your prior postings you and your girl need something to ride now and have some fun. You don't want a project yet.

Thanx im just looking for an enduro as well to commute around town and back and forth to work as well as maybe take some trips so I was considering it..

You probably saw this posted in NewRiders thread. I know its quite a bit more money but this is a dang good deal. You might be able to find it $50-$100 cheaper if you keep looking but this bike is apparently in stock and ready to ship.

Yeah that is a nice bike :) I don't know I may sell my Camaro soon then I will have plenty of extra money gas was eating me alive in that thing anyways!! lol but for now im just gonna keep saving for the Apollo 125s i want eventually for my gf to be able to go on enduro trips with me but ill wait till she gets fully comfortable on the 125s and then once i get my 200/250cc eduro see how it fits her and if she can comfortably ride one and then maybe ill get her one too..for now though looks like ill be saving for the apollos unless i get some extra cash ;)

That's too much for that bike ,but those are darned good little bikes that they made virtually identical for very many years .Its a $200.00 bike at best at the moment .

dmeredith0015 06-24-2015 10:20 PM

maybe ill shoot him a low ass offer like 150-200$ and see what happens would be fun to have something to tinker on atm lol

bogieboy 06-25-2015 12:24 PM

fun little bikes... if you can get it under $300 you got a deal.... I love my 01 ke100... virtually identical to the 80s ones... fun as heck but I wouldnt plan on any trips on it unless they have lots of backroads.... tops out about 54mph for me (260#) I am curious about some hot rod tuning eventually... pipe and port work... all custom stuff... no aftermarket for them.... plenty of NOS parts online though....

dmeredith0015 06-25-2015 06:00 PM

He said he would take 250$ and that the tank is clean that they have emptied it every year and the paint and body is excellent no dents or scratches its been garage kept I think im going to go pick it up just to have an enduro and something to tinker on for now while I save up lol :)

Does the seller have the title? At $250 now I say go for it. In Florida bill of sale won't work, must have the title to get it registered.
