Just picked up a rocketa 110 for $120 today. Going to be swapping an lifan 125 engine i have laying around in to it soon since I am pretty sure this one is based off of the crf50. Ill get some pictures tomorrow.

Good for you!

You back to Montana now? The engine should be an easy swap for you.

FastDoc 11-11-2013 11:21 AM

He could probably do it over dinner and a beer.

Wild_Alaskan 11-11-2013 11:36 AM

Is it a pit bike? What size are the wheels?

Wild_Alaskan 11-11-2013 12:36 PM

yeah its a pit bike, not sure but I would guess the wheels are 10"

FastDoc 11-11-2013 01:15 PM

You will have a lot of fun running around on that.

Wild_Alaskan 11-11-2013 07:12 PM

That puppy should move with a 125cc engine in it. ;) We eagerly await additional photos. :)

Finished up the motor install today, It not running perfectly yet but moves right along for a pit bike. Going to work on the jetting soon.

Needed to make a little bit of clearance for the carburetor, otherwise the transition was really smooth

Nice work! How did you cut the cooling fins?

Wild_Alaskan 11-13-2013 02:44 PM

i was going to grind them down with my angle grinder but it was in storage so i ended up using a chisel instead, actually came out really good

katoranger 11-13-2013 02:53 PM

The Chinese would have used the same tools at the factory.

Wild_Alaskan 11-13-2013 07:27 PM

Fixed my poor running today, I replaced the wiring harness with the one that came with the motor, the other one must have had a short which explains why both motors initially had the same running issues.
