07 gio beast chain tensioner

Hey guys

I need a photo of what the proper chain tensioner or a good make shift one should look like so I can fix the missing one on our quad.

Also open to any other ideas to fix this.

thanks

I think this is what you mean: Yamaha Chain Puller

No its the idler on the end of a metal arm that is spring tensioned to take up the chain slack but keep the tension correct.

I have no such arm on my '07 Beast. It slaps the swingarm occasionally, and I might cover it with some UHMW plastic.

well mmmm then . I thought that it was missing off the swing arm as there is a 14 mm stub on the inside of the swing arm that I figured was for it. Possibly that it is just "extra" and was never used.

Ah, I know what you mean. I have a replacement swingarm on my Beast that does not have that stud, but my original swingarm did. In either case, there was no tensioner.
