Based in NY, could use some advice
Hey guys, I’ve been looking at Chinese bikes for a while now but the thing keeping me from seriously looking at any other than the TT250 is legality, I know the hawk can’t be registered in NY but Does anyone know what chinaduros are able to be registered in NYC?

No need to worry abut being able to plate it in New York. There is always the Vermont work around. If New York decides they do not want to do the license transfer keep riding it with vermont plates. Everything can be done by mail so you don't even have to travel to get it licensed.

Vermont workaround?

I would imagine most of the Bashan/BMS bikes with their 49 state legality could be registered there, unless NYC is using CARB regulations. The BMS CRP 250 might be a better option for you, and is essentially a Hawk with a few changes, such as inverted forks.

Been done by quite a few peeps on here. No need to worry which bike can be registered in your state. Pick the one you want and if NY turns you down it will not matter. Instructions in the link.

Just curious why you have condemned the TT250 ?
I live in New York ( Long Island to be exact ) and indeed registered and have been riding my TBR7 , its my first bike and I love it.. So far been 100% street riding only. Only complaint is the height..it is a tall bike. Please if you do not mind, share why you are against it? Not trying to force it on you  .. just want to understand your perspective ? Best King |

TBR7
Rear--110/90/17 Front--90/90/19 There's options out there on jpcycles.com More choices for Front Tire... Less for Rear. Point being, I can get a US made tire for the bike, I checked into it before I hit the "GO" button. I even have a shop that will mount and balance the tires as needed - I just bring the tires, they don't care about the bike or what brand, I just hand them the rims and new tires and they do the rest ( if I don't choose to do it myself ) King |

I've sent multiple Brozz to New York already. New York just needs one extra form most states don't need but I send it with and its been no problem to register it.
