my zongshen Sierra face lift.. pics

Bought it for $600 not running (no spark) had 5500 miles on it.

I ordered 2 cdi boxes and 2 coil pick ups from taobao.com (bought extras for back up. Painted it, bought a new larger rear tire (2" wider and .5" taller) 170-80-15. Extended the swing arm 6". Must say I like it a lot more. Enjoy

future plans will be

Wider rear rim and rear disc conversion
r1 rear tail light
Better front forks
H.i.d head light
new muffler
New front tire
Possibly 250cc water cooled swap.(last)

That looks plain wicked!

If you convert to a TW200 rear rim, you could have the width you seek and stick with a drum brake. My TW200 drum brake is certainly adequate, even the front one. :D

You did a great job, fellow Zongite.

P.S. That Kenda K671 tire is much more dirt worthy than I thought. :)

You need a larger tire on the front to match. The rear looks great. I like the KTM stickers.

If you choose to use a TW rear rim, you could also use a late model TW front rim, which will support a tire that is wider than most dirt bike rear tires. I think my front tire is 5.10-18.

Anyone know what year tw200 I would need the rims off of?

And thanks for all the help.

Any year will work. I have both TW200 rims for sale. They are used, but in very good condition. If you are interested in buying them, send me a personal message on these forums. ;)

Somewhere around 2001 (can't remember exactly), the front wheel changed to a disc brake. That might be an easier swap onto the Zong.

Any year rear rim would do the trick.

Spud rider sent u a pm

That's a good look. Now, you need to upgrade to a stainless header from a TT-R230 or XT225, and the FMF Turbine Core II like Spud. It's a good look and sound, and it's easy to keep clean.

turbozc03 10-05-2014 08:06 PM

I am debating on that right now or the 250cc swap.

SpudRider 10-06-2014 12:37 AM

That's a nice tail light.

I will check my messages, and reply to you soon. :)

KTM are going to copy your bike, mate! what did u use to extend the rear swingarm? the larger tire is a great idea. but does it clear the chain etc well?
