Coleman Comfort Ride Seat Cover
This arrived today.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...ps1n5pxkkn.jpg Very light weight. I honestly thought I got an empty box. Install was a no brainer, once I thought to take the seat off the bike. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...psdtuxcj9e.jpg It's not as long as my seat but Mrs. C won't do any long rides so that doesn't matter. Parked my kiester on it once just to see how felt. Proved nothing. I'll check back when I get a few hundred miles on it. |
Please do keep us updated. :)

It will get a short test today. |
Is that the same ATV gel seat cover that WalMart sells in the States? If so it's quite popular with KLR riders who keep the stock saddle. I think I read somewhere that it soaks up water though? I might be mistaken though, I often am... Lol :)

I'm glad to hear it is comfortable. I'll likely grab one next time I'm across the border.

I've got one also, haven't had a good long ride to really try it out, but a few shorter rides, it definitely seems to help....
|
I bought one from Amazon, as well. I don't notice too much of a difference in rear end discomfort as compared to the stock seat-I've tried it on 3 separate 100+ mile rides. It does, however, provide some much-needed airflow on a hot day, if you get my drift. Also, the exterior material does absorb water, so look out if you don't want a soaked keister! It does seem to dry out pretty quickly, though.
Disclaimer-take everything above with a grain of salt. I've read that the TW200 seat is "plush" compared to other stock seats, so it could be that I'm just a big weenie. |
Many tw200 owners swear by the coleman seat cover because the tw seat is too painfull ,I didn't like my tw so sold it quickly with under 5 miles put on by me .
|
I put a couple hundred miles on mine Sunday, and really didn't get any discomfort....I was surprised just how much better it was, as it doesn't seem like it'd make that much difference.... Definitely good bang for your bucks

Bump.
Yes, soaks up water. :ohno: Didn't mind the wet so much as the cold. I believe some shrinkage occurred. |
