Hawk Seat Height

I'm looking to get a little more height out my hawk(even just 1 or 2 more inches of seat height) and to have the seat be a bit more flat rather than slightly angled towards the head of the bike. What do you guys think about extending the front forks a little more than they're set to be, just to milk a couple more inches out of the bike?

Thanks y'all

Extending the front forks increases rake, which improves high speed stability at the cost of slowing low-speed steering. Raising the rear has the opposite effect.

That said, the forks should be flush with the top of the upper triple. Are they?

I'm sorry, what do you mean by flush? They are even and maybe a half inch higher than the triple tree.

Thanks Weldangrind

It sounds like you're saying that the forks are sticking up through the upper triple by 1/2". Is that right? Can you show us a pic?

Will do when I get a chance.

Hey Weldangrind sorry I took so long to get this picture to you but here it is. This is how my forks are set. They are even on both sides.

Thanks for the pic. Your fork tubes are flush with the top of the upper triple, so you have no room to extend the current forks; they are as low in the clamps as they can go.

If you need more height, the easiest thing to do is:

...add handlebar risers

...add an inch or two of foam to the seat

For sure. Thanks jb! Will look into both of those things
