Sellers remorse...

Hey everyone! I sold my Hawk about a month ago, and I think Im having sellers remorse.

The only reason I was letting it go was to get another bike. I just purchased a different bike, but its not filling the whole the hawk left.

Of course the buyer is an idiot who knew nothing about motorcycles and has probably killed it by now. Only making it worse.

I spent a lot of time with the bike, riding, wrenching, learning, improving, and enjoying it.

I guess this is all just to say be sure you want to sell your bike before you do.

Ill be back, I think I found a hawk on CL similar to the one I sold.

Thanks for all the help you guys have given me over the past year.

I've had buyers remorse about 11 times now when it comes to bikes. Every bike you own for any length of time earns a spot in your heart, even if it is a total pile of garbage. I only have one bike that I refuse to let go, because I grew up around them, always wanted one, and it was my first bike. It's been through 4 transformations now, and I have probably spent 5 times what it is actually worth on it over the years, but I love it. I ordered a hawk because I miss having something fun, simple, and completely not serious.

There might be "better" bikes, but it's hard to not have fun when you ride something you can fix with wire, tape, and a hammer, and is cheap enough that if you destroy it, you aren't too crushed financially. It lets you enjoy the riding more.

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one. There's one bike I'll never sell (my Husky)....and it will take a lot of talking to put any of them on the chopping block.

Every evening, when I close the garage side door, I look back before I shut off the light and say, "Good night ladies." My wife just shakes her head.
It's a sickness.

She shakes her head, but she doesn't have a male perspective on things. We call them ladies because they have random wild mood swings. They will annoy, aggravate, and infuriate you to only turn around and make you love them again. When they are on our side though, best feeling in the world lol.

I plan to get my kid into bikes when he's old enough, that way I know he'll never have enough money for drugs.

Not too sure about that. Out of all the bikes, she has more than I do! ;-)
