Any one recognize the connector used in the lifan xpect ecu
4 Attachment(s)
So I've been doing some digging looking for a cable or something that will hook in to the xpect ecu. in the hopes I can read some of it if any thing since I don't have a program for it. but in my reasurch I did see a pic of the exact same male end of the connector that the xpect uses. it says it's for a yamaha but dose not say the model dose any one recognized this connector from any of the Japanese motorcycles.

Usually there is a different plug to connect to the ECU. Otherwise it has to power the ECU, which I've never seen happen. I think you're looking at the wrong plug, since that appears to be a photo of the ECU itself. There's probably a diagnostics plug somewhere behind a side cover or near the battery. Possibly with a dummy plug or a rubber plug in it.

Update
Did u ever figure out the kind of adapter u needed? I’m having the same issue in 2021 lol
|
Its a OTKEFDI OBD 6 Pin. If you manage to connect to the brains and get it set up to a tuner let me know. I'm considering buying an x-pect but I want to know if I can mess around with the ecu first.
|
My bad, It looks like a euro5 connector after looking more closely

Can you PLEASE do me a huge favor and measure the seat height of the xpect. I have seen a bunch of different sites posting different seat heights and I think I can fit a 32 in max.
|
Just sit on it. Seat height doesn't really correlate directly with the ability to touch the ground, there are multiple factors involved. If you are of relatively normal height, and your expectation is only getting one foot down, which is all that is necessary with a relatively lightweight bike like these, you'll be fine.
