kato, its cheap if it runs ok it would be worth 150 for parts it must be pretty good the tires are bald but i say no smoke when running=bargin :!:

I am going to go take a look tomorrow night. Will bring a set of jumper cables along and give it a boost off the truck battery. If it fails to start then the price will have to come down.

Definately will need tires, but those will do in my yard until she gets good at riding it.

The seller says it has the throttle limiter and the kill string.

I need to find a reason to be gone with the truck for an hour or so tomorrow evening. Need to sneak it past the wife.

you must have to get something to finish the honey-do list

I am going to see if she needs anything from wal-mart. An atv may just fall into the truck on the way. Two happy little girls also.

So THAT's what replaces us bachelor's "can't elope" list!

I'll be curious to see how this turns out. It's been my experience that people don't give away good ATVs for $150 just because the battery is dead. "Kid outgrew it" probably means:"Bought it for him when he was 7...he beat the hell out of it at 11 and now needs one that ain't busted!" :P 8O :)

If you look at the tires they got some miles on them. We will see. It is only ten miles away.

Can't hurt to look!

I guess I'm a pessimist (really a realist...)- I see the worn tires, and say "Someone rode all the riding out of it". But ya never know...and the price is right!

katoranger 06-24-2009 11:25 PM

Well around here most of the kids ride them on the street in the subdivisions. I am sure the soft rubber tires wear quickly. The plastic looks good.

I think some people just want to get rid of it and have no idea.

My guess is Kato you can fix any ailments, unless the motor is seized, which you should be able to tell right away.

150 bucks and some TLC and you get a good deal for your kids.

I will check it over. I think some riding mower tires will fit and I can get those for FREE.

Well. I brought home. Wife isn't too happy about it, but we will get it going and see how it goes.

The girls like it.

It seems we have no spark. He told me that he try a new plug. It looks new, but nothing.

So I guess will have to diagnose a ignition problem. It is in pretty good shape other than the bald tires.

There is a connector at the back of the atv that I can't find a home for. Going to check the kill switches first.

Yes the elusive kill switches. Have to be on just right....

katoranger 06-25-2009 09:10 PM

I unplugged the big black box with all the wires (technical term) and got spark. Fired it up and road it around.

The girls liked their rides.

The only problem now is that I can turn it off. Disconneting that box disconnects the kill switch.

I am going to guess that the box is a security system or remote start or something.

Also it on only a 50cc. Good enough for the little ones though.
