CJ750 For Sale - $3900

5 Attachment(s)
My Father has a restored CJ750 with sidecar that he imported directly from China in 2012 (he lived there for 10+ years). He needs to sell it and is asking $3900. It has under 220 km on it and has been garaged stored since he imported it. It was likely restored in 2010 but I have no idea when it was originally manufactured. I have both the chassis number and the engine number. The sidecar is new but also from China and was imported with the motorcycle. Both the motorcycle and sidecar are in excellent condition and they have less than 150 miles on it since it was rebuilt.

Unfortunately my father never titled or registered it in the US but I do have the original import papers and owners manual in English. I think it is a M1M version as it has a 12v system with electric start. The motorcycle is in the Fort Lauderdale, Florida area and I am managing the sale of it for my father.

Recently I had the carburetor rebuilt, spark plugs and wires replaced, new fuel lines installed, gasoline tank cleaned and put in a new battery. It runs well and was driven briefly by the mechanic that did the repairs. The seat in the sidecar is in excellent shape (pictures coming later). I will be in Florida next week and it will be available for viewing June 21-26. I will be adding more pictures and a video next week to better show its condition. I'm happy to answer any questions about it directly over this forum. If you want to see it in Fort Lauderdale sometime next week please send me a private message and we can arrange a meeting.

Thanks to those who have responded to earlier versions of this post with advice on how to find more info on the motorcycle.

This may be one of the first Chang Jiang queries on here.:hmm:

I did some digging and there is a serious lack of info on the CJ. This was about the best I found but doesn't really answer your question.

If you can, head over to the 'Everything Else' forum towards the bottom of the Technical/Performance Section and start a thread there with some pics. We like pics.

I have read that the year of manufacture may be located in the frame number but I wouldn't bet the farm on it.

IMO it would be far more sellable if it had a valid state title. You are asking a potential buyer to roll the dice on the legal details of getting this bike on the road.

Anyone interested should also be aware that these bikes are not USA highway-capable, due to the very low gearing for their original intended purpose as military machines. I've owned two of these while in Beijing, one an original side valve M1, and the other the OHV like this one. The OHV design came out in the mid-1980s. My OHV bike from 1984 did not have a reverse gear, so was an early version of these models.
