Tank Motorcycle tire question
Hey, gang;
I was checking my tires on my Vision 250 2i and noticed the FRONT tire is labeled "REAR"! Guess I was so excited over the new bike, I never noticed. Does anyone else have a rear tire for the front of their bike? If anyone else has a Vision (any model), have they changed the tires? If so, what's a good brand? Appreciate it! |
Hi olds_cool
Post your front & rear tire sizes. Bruce |
Olds,
There should be a link in the Prep thread about upgraded tires, sizes and where to get them, go check it out... Sorry, It is in the Cross reference section of DS also check out JC Whitney they have a lot of tires... |
Thanks, guys. I checked JCWhitney, but didn't look through all the tires, yet. My front tire is a 110/90-16 59S and the rear is a 130/90-15 66P.

No worries on the tire marked "rear". Over the years I've ridden with "rears" in the front and "fronts" on the rear. I always figured it was sorta like the Harley oil myth (you know the one about having to use oil that is labeled for Harleys).

So, has anyone changed their tires on their Tanks? If, so..what brand/model did go with?
|
Think I'm just gonna go with some brand new, BRAND NAME, tires since I got the runaround from Tank!

Has anyone tried Cheng Shin Hi-Max or Street Sharks on their bikes? If so, what do you think of them?
|
Hi olds_cool
In my opinion Kenda makes a better tire, if you are looking for a tire that's less expensive. |
Thanks, Bruce. Yeah, I can't see myself spending a fortune on tires for this bike. I'll check out Kenda and see what they have. I have some major riding coming up next month and want something better than the crappy tires I have now.
