Thanks for sharing this JerryHawk250. Do you know if this exhaust bolts up and fits perfectly on the Hawk 250, or does it require minor modifications to make it fit? Thanks!!

You will need to either drill the hole larger or slot the holes to mount up. There are a few threads on here about how to do it.

Nice find! I just picked the same one up for $105; I love it! Despite the good reviews, STILL better quality than I expected.
I strongly suggest slotting the holes instead of using a .5" bit; it's just easier. The only problem I had was the midpipe's nut, which had welding slop in the threads. Snapped it off and put my own in, easy peasy.

Disclaimer: Fitment results WILL vary lol.

Good find. Even when there aren't prices like this, if you do a bit of digging you can usually find a seller that has them for less than $120. I got mine for $108 with free shipping from California.

Hawk Exhaust

Wow! I got my exhaust installed and I love it! It really opened her up! I took some temp readings before I removed my de-cat OEM exhaust. at the header I was getting readings of about 690 degrees. At the first bend it was about 250 degrees. That pipe held allot of heat right at the connection. At the air box I was getting readings of about 260 degrees right below the air box at the pipe. Right after the air box on the pipe it was about 280 degrees. At the stock OEM pipe itself I was getting readings of about 150-180 degrees. Now, for the new pipe. At the header on the new pipe, the readings are about 300-343 degrees. With my heat shield in place right below the air box my readings are 143-173 degrees. I can pretty much touch the top of the heat shield without it being too hot. I mounted my pipe at the lowest I could go to give clearance to the air box. The heat shield is not touching the air box. At the pipe its about the same at 150 degrees. The diamond bits helped with enlarging the header flange holes. That took some work.

My handy work on the heat shield. Just exhaust web expoxied on both sides to a piece of sheet metal. I can actually touch this while the bike is running. right behind it the pipe is too hot to touch!

The pipe is there!
not exactly finished yet with the install. I'm going to weld up a few pieces to strengthen the pipe position and mounting flanges for the original exhaust plastic cover.

This is more like what I had in mind with the bracket. Now it cant fold up. The spacer that came with the pipe worked well with mounting this and welding the pieces together.
