Training for the Desert 100
Roger and I hammered ourselves over about 70 miles of desert riding yesterday to help train for out upcoming race. That's about a zillion whoops, little jumps, and lots of sand. :D I've got blisters but other than that we both feel great. :D

I rode his bike yesterday and as fast as my YZ400F is, his KX450 will eat it's lunch. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...ps3fad8be4.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...psdb889151.jpg Roger demonstrating a landing technique he accidently discovered at the base of an especially steep dune. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...ps3bb4f536.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...ps539cd11c.jpg The bikes have to rest sometimes. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...pse256ae5a.jpg Roger The Racer. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...psa58ef827.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...ps594a234f.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...ps2aeca55c.jpg Roger and Hannibal are the speck towards the center of the picture. I took this from the top of a dune to show some perspective of the desert. |
Sure. Rub it in.

No way Weld! Just sharing the fun with you all. :D

What mirror are you using, Doc? Do you have one, or two mirrors?
Spud :) |
Its the one that came with the Tusk kit. An Acerbis, I think. Even though it's mounted under the handlebar it works very well! You look back between your side and arm. Sounds awkward but really isn't. If I used the bike more on the road I'd get a Spudmount for my mirror. :D

Thanks for the reply, Doc. I thought it might be that mirror. Is it an actual Acerbis mirror, or the Tusk version of said mirror? Did you mount one, or two of the mirrors?
Spud :) |
Just the one. I do not know who made it but it came with the Tusk D/S kit. :D
