I was thinking about getting back into the powersports business again selling stuff from China. Sold Japan stuff for many years. So I purchased a Viper from Rickypowersport-RPS to check out and it did not start out very good. I asked for Black they were out Marcos said Red, fine I said. I get the bike LTL UPS freight and I open it up and it's Blue. Ok no big deal, but the bike was not tied down in the crate, the bolts came out so the bike was flopping around inside of the crate, this is not good I said.

First I know you get what you pay for but the quality of the build is very poor, from welding to assemble. Here are just a very few things I have found so far.

Plastics, Missing dust/dirt seal and a bent frame and I should have posted a pic of the rear fender . Also paint rubbed off on the engine and other parts of the bike and striped threads holding the plastic on and other things I am sure :ohno:

One word. "Return " you didn't get what you paid for

Stick with the Hawks, anything SSR, apollo 250cc bikes, orion bikes, and Pitster Pro.

My question to RPS is how do I as a dealer sell a bike like this?

Have you sent pictures to RPS? It's obvious it was damaged during shipping.

It was not UPS, the box/crate was perfect. It was the Factory Haosen Motorcycle. They never bolted it down.

If they wont exchange or discount it, then sell it as "shipping damage special" and be honest with the buyer. 90% of the chinese bikes I see on craigslist are beat to shit with a max of 10 hours on them. Lol

RPS should still send you a replacement or even some kind of refund. The plastics is replaceable but a bent frame is unacceptable. Lately RPS has been unreachable. There are a few members that have damaged Hawks and Magicians and are not having any luck either.

Still no reply or a solution from RPS :ohno:

How could I find the Members that have damaged Hawks and Magicians sure would like to talk with them.

I think that Marcos is the 'new Adam Renkleff', LOL. I am sorry to read the bad experience you are having with RPS on this thread and the other one. I am not sure how long you have been here on Chinariders, but Adam was 'the man' who brought respect to RPS. It is too early to tell, but judging from your experiences, Marcos is off to a rocky start!

The front tire dust and dirt seal that I do have is not all that good for here in Michigan. If I was to take the Viper to Silver Lake Sand Dunes. Sand would fill up between the bearing and the seal :tdown: It may be better not to have the seal? Or I lathe out a new bushing with a larger diameter

Hi this part RPS will not warranty do you want to buy it ?

I asked them how much for the swing arm and the hub. They said $65 for the swing arm and $95 for the hub. I found a better deal on the hub, so I told them I just wanted the swing arm. They said $65 plus $15 for shipping. They sent an invoice and I paid it.

Here's their next email:

Hi RPS shipped the hub $95 by mistake can you pay this one also please advise.

I told them that I will return the hub. At this point in time, I wish I could send the Hawk back! I feel like I'm getting played! I filled a complaint with the Consumer Products Safety Commission (www.CPSC.gov). I don't know if it will do any good.

I think next time I'm going with a CSC TT 250!

If they have shipped it, and you paid the $65, in my opinion the deal was agreed and completed. Any thing further is up to the kindness of your heart . you have no moral obligation to pay anything further.
