Hi all,

I'm thinking about buying a Chinese dual sport like this: http://nh.craigslist.org/mcd/5206530437.html

As with anything Chinese like this, I'm suspicious... I'm worried about getting this thing registered and inspected. I'd love to hear the processies you all went through to get on the road with these bikes, especially those of you living in states with inspection.

With any Chinese motorcycle, you must have a sense of humour, and the ability to wrench on the bike yourself. This community is comprised of a bunch of nuts who fit that exact description, and we're willing to share what we know with like-minded people.

A new bike like the one you pointed to will often not come with the MSO, but it generally follows by mail within a few weeks. Of course, there have been cases of much faster and much slower service.

Perhaps some of the forum members who've dealt with APSCUSA will chime in.

The engine is common to many different bikes, and is a bored and stroked version of the Honda CG125. It is a very reliable pushrod engine, without the complexity and maintenance of OHC.
